Overview

The Office of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research & Innovation) drives the University’s mission to advance knowledge and learning for the benefit of the nation and humanity through excellence in research and education.

  • Plan, analyze & report annual budget expenses and income,
  • Manage Expenditure Accounts and funds.
  • Administer procurement and tenders.
  • Review & manage payments. Manage financial matters and procurement of PTj income generating activities .
  • Manage PTj finances in accordance with regulations and guidelines.
  • Ensure strategic and optimal allocation & distribution of financial resources.
  • Manage Research Grant Finance, RGMS and RARS Systems.
  • Manage salary payments & pocket money RA/GRA.
  • Manage Double Tax Deduction 34B applications.

The Promotion & Marketing Section is dedicated to amplifying the visibility and impact of the institution’s research portfolio. Through strategic content development, digital outreach, and creative design, the team ensures that research achievements are communicated effectively to a wide range of audiences locally and globally.

WHAT WE DO

  • Coordinate the visibility of the research portfolio: We ensure research outputs and achievements are strategically highlighted across relevant platforms.
  • Develop promotional and visibility materials: We create impactful content and visual assets that strengthen research communication and branding.
  • Edit and refine visibility content: We enhance clarity, accuracy, and consistency across all research-related materials.
  • Manage and coordinate social media platforms: We plan, curate, and publish content that drives engagement and amplifies research narratives.
  • Manage and update website information: We maintain accurate, timely, and user‑friendly research information on institutional web pages.
