Universiti Malaya (UM) researchers have been selected as recipients of the Knowledge Transfer Program (KTP) MRUN Grant, a competitive funding initiative under the Malaysian Research University Network (MRUN) aimed at advancing interdisciplinary research with national impact.
The MRUN Grant supports collaborative projects that address pressing societal challenges through cross‑university partnerships, capacity building, and the translation of research into practical applications. Funded initiatives are expected to generate innovations, inform policy development, and contribute to commercialisation pathways.
The awarded projects also align with the objectives of UM’s Knowledge Transfer Programme (KTP), which focuses on extending university research outputs to communities and industries. Through this programme, researchers work directly with stakeholders to enhance public knowledge, strengthen community resilience, and support industry advancement.
The latest round of MRUN KTP awards underscores UM’s commitment to fostering research that delivers tangible societal benefits and reinforces the University’s role as a driver of national development.
