University students (Undergraduates & Postgraduates)
Secondary school students (Form 1-6)
Rules & Regulations
The competition is on miniaturized 3D Artwork with maximum dimensions not exceeding; 60 cm length x 45 cm width x 60 cm height.
Artwork must be relevant to the event theme.
Upcycling is a form of recycling where instead of turning waste into new materials, you can take a product that you would otherwise throw away and give it a new use in life. (E.g., Converting used a mineral water bottle to a usable pencil case.)
Individual or Group (maximum 5 members) participation.
Only 1 entry per individual / group.
Participation Fees = RM 50.00 / individual or group.
Payment to be made along with submission online.
For school participants, it is compulsory that a Teacher/Parent/ Guardian to be the main contact person in-charge of registration, submission, and the general welfare of the individual/group.
Participants are required to submit:
MP4 formatted video (MP4) of a 3-minute pitching video on the 3D artwork.
A 100-words write up on the artwork in English.
* Adherence to time and word limit is strictly emphasized.
The pitching and write up should include the following information.
The relation of the artwork to the theme upcycling.
What are the waste materials that was used for the creation?
The process used to create the upcycled product.
How useful is the upcycled product?
Prizes & Certificates
All participants will receive certificate of participation.
Top 5 shortlisted 3D Artwork will be chosen from each category to be displayed during UMRC 2022.
Winner, Runner-Up, Second Runner-Up and 2 Consolation Winners will receive cash prizes and medals
The Top 3 shortlisted Secondary School participants will also additionally win a gain a Trophy.
