The MyRA® (Malaysia Research Assessment) is a research assessment framework implemented by the Ministry of Higher Education Malaysia to evaluate and enhance the research performance of universities in the country. The University of Malaya (UM) actively participates in the MyRA® initiative to promote excellence in research and innovation.

UM’s participation in MyRA® involves systematic data collection and reporting on research activities, publications, citations, grants, and collaborative projects. This data is then evaluated and benchmarked against the performance of other universities in Malaysia.

By participating in the MyRA® assessment, UM strives to strengthen its research capabilities and foster a culture of innovation and knowledge creation. The assessment outcomes serve as a basis for identifying areas of strength and improvement in research practices and strategic planning.
